Healthy Eating
Learn to love your fruits and vegetables! It is all about eating healthy.
You can't help it. Anything green makes you scream.
"You're not alone," says Biggest Loser Club nutritionist Cheryl Foreburg. "Each contestant for Season 2 had a personalized nutritional consultation before the show began. One of the common threads was that most of the (overweight) contestants reported that they either didn't like fruits and vegetables, or they ate very few of them."
Her belief? Your tastes can (and will) change.
First, you've got to understand the benefits of fruits and veggies. "Aside from all of the incredible vitamins they contain (to support the immune system and slow the aging process) fruits and vegetables are also excellent sources of fiber (which improves regularity and increases a feeling of fullness)."
Next, go in baby steps, incorporating a bit more fruit or vegetables into your routine each day. Try distracting your taste buds with low-fat, high-flavor sauces. For example, raw carrot sticks dipped in salsa.
Remember "The Biggest Loser program offers an incredible variety of fruits and vegetables from which to choose. You may not like them all, but there is something here for everyone. And when you start to see and feel the results of the program, the choices will not be difficult--they'll be seductive."
