You've taken your first step to changing your life by signing up and creating your profile. Now it's time to see what your first week looks like.

Based on your diet preferences and weight loss goal, we'll set you up with a customized Meal Plan (available under the My Diet tab in the top navigation of the site). You'll never go hungry on this diet—each day's menu gives you 4 to 6 meals, including 1 to 3 snacks! Check out the My Diet Basics area of this "Help" section to see how easy it is to get started.

Map your week so you don't have to run to the store every day to pick something up—you'll avoid temptation!

  • See your Meal Plan and print out your Shopping List (both available under the My Diet tab) for the week. To shorten your list, be repetitive with your food choices, especially as you start stocking up your pantry with healthier staples. You can do this by previewing the week ahead and using the "swap" option to choose the same snacks and/or meals several times during the week. This will also help you save on your grocery bills!
  • Get your kitchen ready by clearing out any tempting "trigger" foods—those foods you can't say "no" to. This will also make space for the great foods on your shopping list!

Every day you'll see exactly what kind of physical activity to do under the My Fitness tab. You'll also find sample strength exercises and demos showing you how to do them correctly. For some more general information on exercising, check out the Fitness Program Overview located under the My Fitness tab. Also check out the My Fitness Basics area of the "Help" section to find tips on navigating through this area of the site.

A weight loss plan works best when you are part of a group of people with the same goal. Your first step is to click on My Profile in the top menu bar and complete your profile. This will help other members with similar profiles to find you. But here's how you can start finding them right now!

  • Search for buddies. Click on My Profile from the top of any page, click on Find Members, and then fill out "Browse by Characteristics." You'll get a list of other members who are similar to you! You can easily message them or invite them to become your buddy.
  • To join a Buddy Challenge, click Community in the top menu bar. Then, choose the "Other Club Challenges" forum. Feel free to browse around in that forum—there are always other members looking for new challenge participants. Join in the message thread to receive help and support from others participating in that challenge.

Many of the questions in this forum may apply to your own experience. If you don't see your question there, contact our experts by clicking on the "Create a New Topic" button and posting a message.
